INFORMATION: Every year in September the list of delinquent accounts to be submitted to the Montgomery County Auditor’s Office for certification on the tax duplicate is prepared. This list includes the delinquent accounts and the amount due, including a 10% administrative fee charged by the City, for refuse collection. This mechanism is the most cost-efficient legal collection tool available to municipalities.
FISCAL & STAFF IMPACT: The total amount in delinquent charges and administrative fees for refuse collection to be assessed is $308,466.35.
RECOMMENDATION: Recommend Approval
