INFORMATION: The Trotwood Police Department recently went through a review for re-accreditation and is proud to announce they have been re-accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). This is the department’s eighth re-accreditation; they have been accredited since 2003. The process included on-site assessments where the reviewers verify the department’s professional standards in four base areas: policy and procedure, administration, operations, and support services.
