INFORMATION: The City of Trotwood will host an Expression Contest for Black History Month with the theme of “African American and the Arts” through February 21, 2025. The contest is open to Trotwood students and is structured to empower the youth of the City through the support of their artistic talents and expressions, celebrate black history in Trotwood and the United States, and foster community relations.
FISCAL & STAFF IMPACT: Expenditures not to exceed $500.00 include light refreshments and cash prizes for first ($75.00), second ($50.00), and third ($25.00) place. Submissions will be divided into three grade categories: 3rd - 5th grade, 6th - 8th grade, and 9th - 12th grade. Winners will be recognized at the March City Council Meeting.
