INFORMATION: Motion 23-10; 05/01/2023. The City would like to amend the Codes of Ordinances to address the current influx of entrepreneurs and others parking commercial/heavy vehicles throughout the City of Trotwood. This ordinance will curtail the parking of semi-trucks, trailers and other heavy weight vehicles to areas zoned for such activity during said business operations, only. The ordinance allows city representatives to tow vehicles in compliance with the Ohio Revised Code and fine violators immediately. Stiffer penalties and immediate actions are required to support law enforcement and code enforcement personnel in addressing these matters. This ordinance will not interfere with business operations (Lowes, Home Depot etc. are examples) or citizens receiving home deliveries (furniture/appliance deliveries etc. are still permitted activities that only require temporary parking to complete a transaction).
