PURPOSE: To award contract to Barrett Paving, Co. for the Wolf Creek Resurfacing Project No. 2016-05

INFORMATION: The City of Trotwood has been awarded $80,000.00 from Montgomery County CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) for the resurfacing of Wolf Creek Pike (between Main Street & Olive Rd); also included will be a 28 ft. wide bike path running from the Bridge @ Main Street to George Street and thermal pavement markings.
This project will allow the City to continue the resurfacing of Wolf Creek south of the Main Street Corridor, which would continue the improvements within the Old Town Planning District.
FISCAL & STAFF IMPACT: Grant awarded from CDBG in the amount of $80,000.00 and the remaining balance $23,450.00 to be paid from Roads, Annual Street Resurfacing - 201.521.52163.
RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommendation of the Public Works Operations Manager that Council accepts the bid from Barrett Paving Co. and authorizes the City Manager to enter into contract for construction of this project.
