A PRESENTATION TO THE TROTWOOD CITY COUNCIL ABOUT THE CITY’S TREE COMMISSION AND THE STEPS IT IS TAKING TOWARD BECOMING A TREE CITY USA.

PURPOSE: To request that Council support the Tree Commission’s activates and draft a proclamation in observance of Arbor Day on April 28.

INFORMATION: Wendi Van Buren, Trotwood’s Regional Urban Forester from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources will be present to speak about our Tree Commission and specifically the celebration of Arbor Day and how those two steps can help the City qualify to be a Tree City USA. We will be asking that Council make a Proclamation about the celebration of Arbor Day on April 28.

RECOMMENDATION: Recommend the support of Council and drafting of a Proclamation to celebrate Arbor Day in the City of Trotwood.
