PURPOSE: Presentation to Trotwood City Council and City Manager or his Designee that Public Works will begin preparing Construction Bid Package to replace of existing 6”, 8” and 12” aging and deteriorating water mains

INFORMATION: OPWC State Capital Improvement Program and/or local Transportation Improvement Program to address Trotwood’s aging water lines. The replacement of approximately 250 LF of existing 6” water main, 500 LF of existing 8” and 4,880 LF of existing 12” water main. Roads within the scope of work; Broadway Ave, Trotwood Blvd and Stubbs Dr. Replacement of new Water Mains will address the performance, quality and safety
FISCAL & STAFF IMPACT: OPWC which will contribute 75% of the funds for these improvements not to exceed $730,657 and the city of Trotwood will contribute 25% in matching funds in the amount not to exceed $182,664.25
RECOMMENDATION: That the City Council, City Manager and Finance Director except the presentation and grant Public Works authorization to proceed with advertisement to obtain bids
