PRESENTATION TO TROTWOOD CITY COUNCIL REGARDING THE JOHN WOLFE PARK CONCRETE DAM REPLACEMENT - 3 minutes

PURPOSE: Presentation to the Trotwood City Council and the City Manager or his Designee that Public Works will begin preparing Construction Bid Package to replace the current the existing Dam at the spillway as well the above walkway. With proposal of a new Splash Pad, anticipation of more foot traffic will pose an even greater danger to visitors who walk along the current asphalt walking trail over the spillway

INFORMATION: Improvement to the pedestrian walkway above the spillway and the Concrete Damn must be completed due to the current construction and condition. This improvement includes the design of New Concrete Dam and walkway over the dam; replacing the embankment on the west side which is currently comprised of tires. Damn, rails and walkway will be upgraded and/or installed to provide safety for the visiting public

RECOMMENDATION: That the City Council, City Manager and Finance Director except the presentation and grant Public Works authorization to proceed with advertisement to obtain bids
