A RESOLUTION BY THE TROTWOOD CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DECLARE CERTAIN OBSOLETE AND/OR SURPLUS FIRE & RESCUE EQUIPMENT AS NO LONGER NEEDED FOR A PUBLIC PURPOSE AND AUTHORIZING SAID PROPERTY FROM THE TROTWOOD FIRE & RESCUE DEPARTMENT TO BE SOLD ON GOVDEALS.COM

PURPOSE:  As a continuing effort to minimize the amount of excess/obsolete item to be removed from the inventory of City of Fire/Rescue

 

DEPARTMENT:   Fire/Rescue

INFORMATION:  As we have done in the past, many items have been replaced, or damaged, of have become obsolete and hold no value to the department.  We have diligently worked to remove these items from the department city inventory at various times throughout the year.  Any proceeds realized will be deposited into a replacement equipment fund as designated through the city Finance Department as has been the past practice.

 

FISCAL & STAFF IMPACT:  Items to be disposed of through online sales, actions, donations or properly disposed of if deemed to have no value.

 

RECOMMENDATION:  I would request Council grant permission through a resolution to dispose of this list of obsolete, damaged, or outdated property currently in the Fire/Rescue department’s inventory as has been past practice.
