A RESOLUTION BY TROTWOOD CITY COUNCIL ACCEPTING THE BID OF CG CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR THE OLIVE ROAD WATERLINE REPLACEMENT PHASE 1 PROJECT BCI NO. 19047 WORK TO BE COMPLETED ON OLIVE ROAD AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH SAID CONTRACTOR TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $565,745.00 AND AUTHORIZING A 10% CONTRACT CONTINGENCY OF $56,574.50 TO COVER UNANTICIPATED COSTS

PURPOSE: The project will replace the dual service 12" water main (transmission and distribution) with new 12" Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP) water main, including fire hydrants and water service connections. Existing 12" cast iron main will be replaced with 12" DIP main. Additional 6" and 8" mains are necessary to make the connections at Bradfield, Burman, MacMillan and Main. The 12" main serves approximately 1,100 homes in the adjacent neighborhoods as the main artery.
