INFORMATION: Mowing season typically begins in the month of April. Section 905.03(a) of the City of Trotwood Codified Ordinances requires the City to publish on or about May 15 of each calendar year the requirements contained in Sections 905.01 PERIODIC CUTTING REQUIRED and 905.02 TRIMMING TREES AND SHRUBBERY. The City prefers to inform property owners of said requirements prior to the start of mowing season and is requesting the Ordinance be amended to reflect a publication date of on or about March 15.

In order to provide for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and/or safety, it is recommended that Council adopt this as an Emergency Ordinance, to become effective upon adoption.

FISCAL & STAFF IMPACT: Mowing fees may be reduced by notifying property owners of the code prior to mowing season.
