INFORMATION: 1. The aging infrastructure is a huge problem in this country and specifically in this city. The Montgomery County used to maintain about 2/3 of our roads; some of our streets, which are from the old township are 30 years old. 2) We have chosen not to ask for higher levies to ensure our senior citizens keep the homestead exemption. We are sensitive to Senior Citizens living on fixed incomes. 3) The condition of our streets has a direct correlation to the perception of neglect. We know that we have hard working citizens who care about this community. We must take action to ensure our streets reflect the image we want to portray. 4) This impacts our efforts to attract additional companies/employers and retailers to our city.
